In Hanoi ended the 28th international trade exhibition Vietnam Expo, in which Russia participated as an honorary guest.
The main purpose of Russia's participation in Vietnam Expo was to establish new and develop existing contacts between officials and business circles of Russia and Vietnam, to develop foreign economic cooperation of the parties, to promote the growth of trade turnover of the parties (from 5.3 billion dollars in 2017 to 10 billion dollars in the coming years).

Earlier, in order to give impetus to the development of cooperation between the parties, the EAEU and Vietnam signed an Agreement on a free trade Zone, which provides for the reduction or zeroing of import duties on most Russian and Vietnamese commodity positions, creates favorable conditions for the creation of Russian industries in Vietnam, respectively – Vietnamese in Russia.
Russia was represented at the exhibition on an area of 530 square meters by expositions of the Ministry of industry and trade of the Russian Federation and GC "ROSTEC". The national pavilion was attended by 18 leading companies in the field of energy, aviation, agriculture, production of equipment for coal mining enterprises, oil and gas industry, medical equipment and technology, as well as in the provision of logistics and banking services. In addition, the joint exposition of the Sverdlovsk region was formed, which included five leading companies in the region in the field of industrial production and agriculture. The official delegation of the Russian Federation was headed by Deputy Minister of industry and trade Vasily Osmakov.

During the exhibition, a large-scale business program was organized, within the framework of which were held: the official opening ceremony of the Russian exposition, the plenary session "Russian-Vietnamese partnership in trade and economic sphere: development strategy", round tables on the development of cooperation in industry and energy, agriculture, IT and digital technologies. Also with the participation of the Russian trade Mission in Vietnam was organized a practical seminar on the peculiarities of Russian companies entering the Vietnamese market, held presentations of Russian companies and B2B meetings.

In addition, JSC "Russian export center" organized a Business mission in the framework of the exhibition, which was attended by 26 Russian companies. During the Business mission, on April 10, the trading house of JSC REC was opened in Ho Chi Minh city.

As a result of the meetings and negotiations held at the exhibition, United engine Corporation JSC and SouthenVietnam Helicopter company (VNHS) have reached an agreement on long-term cooperation in the implementation of repair of engines for civil helicopters.
Nativa company plans to open its representative office in Vietnam to promote a wide range of medicines to the Vietnamese market following the results of negotiations at the exhibition. Established business contacts with potential consumers of the company's products.

JSC " AMZ "Ventprom" signed a contract with a Vietnamese distributor for the supply of ventilation systems for mining mines in Vietnam.

JSC "Shchelkovo-Agrochim" held a meeting with a representative of the Ministry of agriculture of the SRV on certification of Russian products for plant protection, as well as Vietnamese companies - potential distributors of products in Vietnam. In order to enter the Vietnamese market, JSC "Shchelkovo-Agrokhim" plans to open a representative office in Vietnam.

LLC Triton electronics signed the contract with the Vietnamese distributor for exclusive deliveries to Vietnam of devices for monitoring of vital functions of patients, artificial ventilation of lungs, monitors of depth of anesthesia for the sum of 100 thousand dollars.

In order to establish cooperation with the Vietnamese side, to promote products to the Vietnamese market, the company "shvabe" held talks with the Ministry of health of Vietnam on the supply of medicines, medical equipment and equipment, training of doctors. Negotiations were held with the leading Vietnamese company Vietelectronic on the organization of joint production of medical devices and equipment, as well as with the Vietnamese company-potential distributor on issues of equipment
deliveries of the company "Schwabe" in Vietnam.

PJSC "Company "Power machines" held negotiations on the supply of spare parts for equipment installed in thermal and hydroelectric power plants of Vietnam: thermal power plant PHA Lai, Uong Bi thermal power plant, hydropower plant, Hoa Binh hydropower plant Yali and Сесан3.

VEB leasing JSC successfully held negotiations with Vietnamese companies on the provision of leasing of hardware and digital modules for implementation in the field of engineering, railway transport, mining, storage equipment.

JSC "RZD logistics" held negotiations with the Vietnamese side on the provision of new services - the organization of container transportations by rail Vietnam-Russia, which will reduce by 2 times the time of delivery compared to the sea route, reduce the cost of transportation compared to air transportation and simplify transit procedures.

JSC "Electrotechnical plants" Energomera " held negotiations with Vietnamese companies - potential consumers of the Company's products, as well as with companies – manufacturers of electrotechnical products interested in the organization of local production of components produced by JSC "Electrotechnical plants "Energomera".

In addition, the exhibition of scientific and technical creativity of the youth of the festival "From the screw" was presented within the framework of the Russian exposition, which was especially in demand by the youth of Vietnam. Presented the latest development of youth: the tiltrotor hub light and melasidae the supply ship. Representatives of the movement also took part in the round tables "Russia-Vietnam: prospects for cooperation in industry and energy", "IT & digital technologies", where they spoke about the achievements of young people in the development of these sectors of the economy.

In order to develop the youth movement Russia-Vietnam and establish scientific and technical cooperation with the Polytechnic Institute and the state University of Vietnam, a meeting was organized with the head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office N. In. Shafin. This work will be carried out under the patronage of the Deputy Minister of industry and trade of the SRV Mr. Chao Kuok Khan, who supported the proposal to establish scientific and technical cooperation between young people of Russia and Vietnam during the circumvention of the Russian exposition.
